For the past few days, I have been praying, asking God about the purpose of my life. I wondered, Is He listening? I had faith, but I was also a little confused—Are my dreams just my imagination? But today, something incredible happened that I cannot forget.
A young girl, around 13 years old, unknowingly became the answer to my prayer. At the perfect time, she spoke words that struck me deeply. I had been thinking of her as just a child, yet God used her. That moment opened my eyes—if God can speak through a child, how much more can we connect with Him? The Bible says in the last days, He will pour out His Spirit on all people, and “your sons and daughters will prophesy.” (Joel 2:28)
I was shocked. This was the first time I had witnessed how God is using the new generation.
The Silent Pain of Children
This is a letter to a generation. Maybe not everyone will read it, but I believe it will touch someone’s heart.
Dear parents, we often assume that children are naturally happy, that they have no real responsibilities or burdens. But take a moment to ask yourself—Are they truly happy? Just because they are young does not mean they don’t have struggles.
I, too, faced many challenges in my childhood. Many children today go through emotional pain, but their small minds are not able to express it. In today’s world, we provide them with everything—education, a good lifestyle, even luxuries. Yet, something is missing: love, care, and emotional support.
Love Over Luxury
In cities, parents work hard to build a successful life. But in doing so, they often forget to give their children the one thing they truly need—love. From a young age, babies are left in the care of private nurses, daycare centers, or maids. While these caregivers may do their duty, they can never replace a parent’s love. Worse, some children face mistreatment or emotional neglect.
Then, as they grow, parents wonder, Why don’t our children love us back? But love is not just about providing; it is about presence. When you had the time to value them, did you? A small child does not need money. They need you. They need your love, your time, your attention.
Imagine if you had a baby and suddenly started giving all your attention to another child or even a pet. Wouldn’t your child feel jealous and hurt? Children sense love in ways we often overlook.
A Simple Change, A Big Impact
Dear parents, change your attitude. Show your children that they matter. Take a moment to ask them, Are you okay? That simple question can make a world of difference. Even if they are in college, even if they seem fine—ask them. They might be going through something you never imagined.
A generation is waiting for love, guidance, and understanding. Let’s not fail them.
